18th November 2004
Simon Gulliford

Enterprise in Practice

This event forms part of national Enterprise Week, which is dedicated to celebrating business success and aims to inspire people to believe in their entrepreneurial potential.

Simon Gulliford

Simon began his career as a lawyer then changed career direction in the mid-1980’s, when he returned to University to study for an MBA.

Until August of this year, Simon was the Group Marketing Director for Barclays plc, and was responsible for re-establishing the company’s image in the UK with the “Fluent in Finance” campaign.

Simon has also worked on major projects with companies including Boots, Royal Bank of Scotland, Granada, Unilever and drove the de-merger of Selfridges from Sears. Working for EMAP plc, Simon launched or developed magazines such as FHM, Red and Heat.

Simon will share his extensive experience of what makes a business enterprising and of how entrepreneurship can be encouraged and developed. He will also give an insight into what banks look for from entrepreneurs and how to establish new ideas and strategies to benefit your business.

Simon is a compelling speaker, much in demand both nationally and internationally. This is a not to be missed opportunity to hear Simon back in his native Wales, telling his own fascinating story.
