Free business events: top speakers & the opportunity for networking

Since its creation in 1996 over 11,200 people have attended the 140 plus events we have run for local businesses and innovators. A programme of events is held each year with ca 90 people from a variety of business backgrounds attending each event. (Please note that for our more popular events, it may sometimes be necessary to limit registrations to two delegates per company /organisation).

9th July (am): Venturefest Wales

Cardiff University Innovation Network is delighted to support the first Venturefest Wales event which will be held on Tuesday, 9th July 2013 at Cardiff City Hall (Registration from 7.30 am; event begins at 8am and closes at 10am)

Venturefest Wales will provide a showcase for businesses poised for high growth and will be of interest to entrepreneurs, directors of science, technology, creative and high-growth companies, investors in high growth and early stage companies, and academics with potential spin-out businesses or an interest in business.

The event will provide the opportunity to debate issues faced by ambitious, high-growth firms including innovation, investment, people, commercial models and collaboration and will include:

- A Keynote address from Nic Weng Kan, MD of comparison website business Confused.com
- ByBox founder Stuart Miller will talk about how he grew a successful international company following a business disaster in Silicon Valley, and how he benefited from being part of Venturefest
- A Panel of experienced entrepreneurs
- Networking over breakfast
- Q&A
