The Regional Impact Prize for 2012 has been awarded to Mesuro for its work with Cardiff University’s School of Engineering in commercialising a new generation of measurement systems for the RF wireless communications industry.
Professors Johannes Benedikt and Paul Tasker of the School of Engineering, along with Dr Richard Ensley of Cardiff University spin-out company Mesuro, engineered waveforms to generate signals at maximum power efficiencies to reduce the energy footprint of networks and increase the wireless communication operational times of mobile phones.
Secretary of State for Wales Cheryl Gillan MP awarded the Prize to Professor Benedikt and Dr Emsley at the 14th Innovation & Impact Awards Dinner on the 25th June 2012.
