12th October: BAE Systems: Strategy Theory into Practice

Dr Llyr Jones, Head of Group Strategy for BAE Systems, will discuss the issues of implementing strategy within a large international organisation that is innovation driven, operates in a fiercely competitive dynamic environment, and is subject to all the associated risks.
Llyr leads the team at BAE Systems, advising and working with the Executive Committee and Board in originating, facilitating, executing and communicating corporate strategy. He has extensive international experience in business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, government industrial policy and general management gained over twenty years with BAE Systems, Thales, MBDA and their predecessor companies.
Before his current role, Llyr was Managing Director of Niteworks, a joint UK Ministry of Defence and industry partnership looking at improving future UK military capabilities. International assignments have included Japan and France.
