15-16th November: Challenges of the Low Carbon Revolution

The Convergence Energy Programme Launch and Low Carbon Research Institute Conference "are taking place in Cardiff on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th November 2010.
The Low Carbon Research Institute (LCRI) has been established to unite and promote the diverse range of energy research in Wales, UK in order to deliver a low carbon future.

The multicentre, multidisciplinary LCRI aims to support the whole energy sector - UK and globally - in developing low carbon generation, storage, distribution and end use technologies.

The Convergence Energy Programme and the second LCRI conference "Challenges of the Low Carbon Revolution" will be launched by Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones at 19.00 on Monday 15th November.

Sessions on Tuesday 16th November will involve speakers from academia, industry and government in the areas of Low Carbon Built Environment, Photovoltaics, Marine, Large Scale Power Generation, Hydrogen and Bioenergy.   

This event is free to attend but places are limited and pre-registration is required.
