18th October: Transformative Innovation: The Policy Challenge for a Low Carbon Transition

The transition to a low carbon society needs ‘transformative innovation’ which is pervasive, system wide and embraces technological and social change. It needs to address user focused sociotechnical systems such as mobility, housing, food, communication not supply driven singular technologies. Current public policies draw on confused and inappropriate metaphors of radical change.

A new challenge-led policy for transformative innovation for global sustainability is urgently needed and Fred will discuss this at this free event.
