Helping Businesses in the Valleys to stay competitive

Tuesday 20 January 2009
Cardiff University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning has teamed up with the Heads of the Valleys Innovation Programme (HOViP) to equip businesses in the South Wales Valleys with essential skills to help them survive in a time of economic difficulties.
Cardiff is the first Higher Education institution to partner the Heads of the Valleys Innovation Programme in an effort to bring relevant, partially subsidised training provision to a target audience of businesses, including social enterprises, in the boroughs of Caerphilly, Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff and Torfaen.

Two courses are being offered to help delegates develop skills which are essential to local businesses, especially in this difficult trading time.  Sales for Non-Sales Persons, a highly practical one-day training course, and Media Relations, a course offering a concise introduction to the basics of professional and effective media relations.

Further information: HOViP.
