New Chairman of Cardiff Business Technology Centre

Neil McEvoy, the deputy leader of Cardiff Council, has been appointed as the new chairman of Cardiff Business Technology Centre (CBTC).
Neil McEvoy, the deputy leader of Cardiff Council, has been appointed as the new chairman of Cardiff Business Technology Centre (CBTC). He will hold the role for the next four years and will lead the board on the overall strategic direction of the Centre and its role to encourage innovation and technology in Cardiff.
CBTC provides serviced accommodation and business support services, tailored to the needs of new technology and science-based businesses.
The Centre is a member of the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) and the UK Science Park Association. It is a key part of Cardiff's economic development infrastructure to encourage innovation.
Other partners on the board include Cardiff University, the Welsh Assembly Government and UWIC.
The Western Mail quotes Councillor McEvoy as saying: "I'm delighted to take up the role of chairman at Cardiff Business Technology Centre. Commercialising technology and the development of new markets for innovative products and services is vital to the development of Cardiff and the greater city region.”
