Public Lecture: What it Means to Live in a Low-Carbon Economy

The second Hadyn Ellis Distinguished Lecture on Monday 16 November 2009 will be delivered by the prominent environmentalist, Jonathon Porritt.
Jonathon's lecture - 'What it means to live in a low carbon economy' - will describe how moving towards such an economy will be one of the key challenges to avoiding significant climate change.

Founder Director of Forum for the Future and former chairman of the UK Sustainable Development Commission, Jonathon is also an eminent writer, broadcaster and commentator.

He received a CBE in January 2000 for services to environmental protection and for nine years was chair of the Sustainable Development Commission, the Government's independent watchdog.

This is an evening lecture: the pre-lecture reception commences at 18:45pm, followed by the lecture at 19:45pm.

The event is open to members of the public but entrance is by ticket only.

Due to the large level of interest in this lecture, tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis
