Shell Springboard Low Carbon Competition: Apply by 5th November
Thursday 23 September 2010
Shell Springboard provides a financial boost to innovative, low carbon business ideas from across the UK.
Shell Springboard launched in 2005. Since then the programme has attracted over 900 applications from small business owners throughout the UK, with ideas to combat climate change.
During that time, a total of £1.6 million has been awarded in total to 43 businesses, with the expectation that £40,000 will be awarded to eight businesses in this year's competition.
Applications will be considered if the product or service will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, is commercially viable and is innovative.
This year, the deadline for applications is 5pm on
Friday 5th November and awards will be made in early 2011.
Judging will be carried out by three regional panels of independent experts. Up to two businesses from each region will then meet a national judging panel prior to the announcement of an overall UK winner.
