Welsh Companies Win Queen's Awards for Enterprise

Thursday 21 April 2011
The winners include a car parts manufacturer; an aircraft engine service company; a food pest-control company; an electronics medical equipment company and a rock-testing company.
Winners of the Queen’s Awards can expect a company visit by a royal representative during the year to present a crystal bowl and an invitation to attend a special reception at Buckingham Palace in July.

They can also use the Queen’s Award emblem in advertising, marketing and on packaging for five years as a symbol of their quality and success.

In a survey, 77% of previous winners reported the win had brought added commercial value and 57% of international trade winners achieved increased recognition overseas.

This year's winners are: Cobra UK Automotive, GE Aircraft Engine Services, Russell IPM and the Magstim Company (for international trade); Conwy Valley Systems (for innovation).
